Each year the CFUW Cornwall & District presents scholarships - from $600 to $800 - to graduating female students at 12 secondary schools in Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry.

 

In 2026 we presented special scholarships of $1,000 for the 70th Anniversary of our club. 

The Scholarship Fund receives a remarkable level of support from the membership through internal fundraising activities.  Since the inception of the program in 1957, over $100,000 has been awarded to deserving female graduates of secondary and adult secondary schools in our area.

According to CFUW criteria, as well as being enrolled in a Canadian University, scholarship recipients must demonstrate “character, promise and scholarship”.

In 2015, “financial need” was added as a consideration. The CFUW Scholarship Committee coordinates the distribution of scholarships.
